    Throttle cable to carb noob

I have a 83 gs650. I cleaned the carbs now can't figure out how to place the throttle and choke cables. Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to the forums.
While we wait for you to receive a proper welcome I thought I would chime in.
Although I am not an expert on your or any other particular model I would reccomend taking a look through the service manual for your bike.
I saw a copy on Basscliff's website which contains about a million useful links and thought I would share it with you while you wait on more informed responses.
Bikecliff's site is located at http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/
and the manual I was referring to is http://www.mtsac.edu/~cliff/storage/gs/GS650GManual.pdf
on page 140 there is a diagram of the carb setup and item 16 is the throttle lever.
I would also take a look at the carb rebuild instructions by Mr. Nessism (also on Basscliff's site) to make sure you haven't skipped any steps like I did during my first rebuild.
    I hope this helps.

Oh and make sure you install the throttle cable BEFORE putting on the carbs.
      You will thank me later!
