This came out of my exhaust pipe...

So I took the exhaust pipes off today to replace all the gaskets at the heads as well at the cross-over underneath. So while I'm picking up the right side exhaust, I notice something moving around inside. It would fall whenever I turned the pipe, so I spun it around until I could work it to the cross over head and eventually out of the pipe. Below is what was in there, they look like they were originally part of the pipe, but have broken loose over the years, but I'm not sure whether I have to worry about anything going wrong because of it..

I had similar pieces fall out of the rust holes in my bike a couple of months ago. I used some muffler putty to seal around the holes, then put patches over the holes. It's a little bit louder, but still runs fine.

In fact, because of the difference in the muffling on the two sides, there seems to be a bit of "chatter" to the exhaust, making it sound a bit like the old CB750K or KZ900 four-pipers.
