82 gs1100gk bogging

I have an 1982 gs1100gk. I bought it about a month ago, and i've had nothing but problems. my newest problem is the bike feels like its dragging something. The RPM's won't climb as fast as they should. Not to sure where to go with it. Suggestions anyone?

Welcome. Thoroughly strip and dip your carbs first of all. Basscliff will be along later with his official welcome that includes links to the carb rebuild procedures. Then check your intake boots for leaks, replace the orings that go with them, properly ensure your airbox is sealed, adjust the valves, etc.

This is a thirty year old bike so lots of TLC needs to be paid attention to it. Read through the site, use the search feature, add your location in your profile and your bike info in your signature, and you'll be amazed at how well your bike runs when you are done.
