GS550E 1980 carburetor jet resizing
I need to resize my main jets to use pod filters. Due to info I found I need two more sizes of main jet. I will use stock pipe. I have a bunch of stock main jets so I try to save some money and simple redrill them to have correct size. I need info regarding drill bit or hole size on stock and 2x oversized jet. Any advice on that topic will be deeply appreciated.Tags: None

Without seeing your bike I can tell you this -
On a 550, when you go from an airbox to pod filters, you'll need to increase tha main jet considerable, say from a #94 to a #105, depending on where you start, and you'll need to move the needles up a couple of slots, and if you don't have the adjustable needles, you'll have to shim them up with a couple of brass washers under them -
Don't throw away the airbox, or stock jets, because chances are good you'll get tired of pod filters one day and go back to it.
