    interchangeableness?!

Hi All, a new guy here wondering if I can replace a faulty (broken float post) inside carb with a functioning outside carb without too much trouble. I have two sets of carbs for a 1980 GS 750 and hope to make one excellent set that works well. Thanks. Tom

Don't know what bike/carbs you have, but each carb is different. If you have two sets, replace the broken carb body with the same from the other set.

BTW - for reference, while sitting on the bike the far left carb is #1 and the far right carb is #4. You will notice differences with each body, such as throttle cable connections, butterfly valve attachment & petcock fuel & vent nipples...

    Which one is broken?

Yes, you can replace the carb. I suggest you perform a complete rebuild while you are at it. My signature contains a rebuild tutorial. Short cuts are actually long cuts when it comes to rebuilding carbs. Consider yourself warned.
