    Carb cleaning problems

I am trying to clean a set of gsxr carbs. I have soaked them in my usual stuff, Gunk hydroseal. The metal and brass parts are coming out nice, but the carb bodies end up with a white powdery stuff on them after drying. The powdery stuff comes off on your finger when you wipe them.
I dont know what to try next. Anyone have this issue before?

Issues like that are the reason I stopped using dips & bought my ultrasonic cleaner. Ray.

Maybe scrub down the carb with a tooth brush and dish soap after the dip rinse process? Spray with WD-40 after that?

A little aluminum polish thinned down with some mineral spirits so it's not so pasty will work. Use Q-tips and small artists brushes to get down in the crevices. The soft metal the carbs are made out of polish up almost like chrome. Once you get started you'll get carried away.

I got the same thing on carbs I just rebuilt. Forget what brand of carb cleaner I was using.
