Does anyone have the carb specs for the Mikuni Siamese Carbs for my '86 550ES? The carb bodies have 43660 stamped on the side. I put a post in the sticky for carb specs but have not gotten any replies. Just want to make sure all the parts are correct before I put them back together.

Have fun...Dont think you can find much better. Just save the image to your desktop and then open the file at the desktop you saved and use your picture file/view program to zoom in easier.
P.S. I googled 550es carb diagrams/parts and got this file so google does work and can be faster than waiting for a reply on diagrams...Last edited by Guest; 09-28-2011, 11:03 PM. -

Basscliff has the 1983 manual. I doubt the jets are different enough to matter, if they are different at all.Ed

Pray that you don't need the diaphragms. I can only imagine what those things cost. Of course, you'll only need a maximum of two of them, so maybe it's a wash. I almost didn't buy the 550 for my son because those carbs scared me. They turned out to be pretty easy overall to work on.Comment

I looked at the diaphragms very closely and did not see any cracks, tears etc. I actually went into a dark room and used a pocket flashlight on one side to check for pinholes. I didn't see any, but my eyes are not what they used to be either.
Got my O-Ring kit from www.cycleorings.com/ but I am going to dip them at least one more time before I put them back together.
