Choke doesn't stay out. Why?

    My vote is to check into 7981GS's advice. Find out if your detent balls fell out (OUCH!). I just disassembled a set of Mikuni MKII's (CV), and lost the detent ball, and the choke lever would not stay in place.

      I love to sit on my bike and let her warm up a bit, then ride off. I push the choke in when she starts to bog down on acceleration. First time she stalled at a stop sign with the choke wide open taught me "this is good."

        Looks like somebody has grafted CV carbs onto the stock VM carb gang plate. The chokes are probably activated completely different from the VM carbs that used a cable. As that is not a stock configuration you'll need more info from somebody with a CV carb setup.
