'78 GS400: Can't find carb kit. Help, plz!

    Hey there --

I've been looking all over the place and I can't seem to find the right carb kit for the 1978 GS400. The manual says I have Mikuni BS34, Twin carburetor.

I see there's lots of kits for larger engine, four cylinders, other model years, etc., but not this one.

ANyone have any tips or suggestions?

    Thanks so much,

    Eric

Welcome. You don't need any carb kits. Go to www.cycleorings.com and order the new orings from Mr. Barr, a member here. Then get yourself some Berryman's carb cleaner and follow Flaming Chainsaw's excellent guide on cleaning your carbs. You'll find it on Basscliff's site in his megawelcome he gave you in your first post.

The only problem with that is that the 400 is not listed.

Send a PM to robertbarr to see if the 450 kit will fit the 400.
