    What do you use for fuel lines???

    Do you use steal lined rubber or just rubber. I have the steal reinforced but it is difficult to get it bent around where it needs to go. I was wondering if anyone uses just rubber. The connection of my hose to the petcock is where I believe my leak is coming form.

      I use rubber fuel ine from the VDub dealer -- 7mm ID. Fits perfectly.

          Fuel line

          I buy tygon style weed eater fuel line. In bulk by the foot at the local mom-n-pops hardware store. It's made for high temp, doesn't harden like the clear vinyl, and is also semi-transparent. Same as tygon, just the manufacturer can't call it that because of patent stuff.

            Oreillys has some clear rubber line they sell in blister cards. They say its for lawn mowers but it is gas grade. Comes in about a 2 ft lenght

              I only use the clear lines that Z1 sells.

              I prefer to See my fuel flowing, haha.

                  7mm, perfect size, no clamps necessary.

                  Yeah, it looks like it costs a lot (about $15), but you get SIX FEET of it, plenty for more than a few bikes.

                    Me too.

                    Auto parts store fuel line is needlessly fat, and the wrong size for our bikes (so a clamp is recommended).

                    Clear fuel lines kink easily and gets hard as it ages.

                    Tygon tubing is NOT rated for fuel use, unless you get the special fuel line type. Please check before using.
