Certainly adjust the valves. I agree that installing a dynojet kit is a good move too. Once tuned correctly, you may find that you want to keep the bike.

Tuned right, these bikes will make any ride in Disney seem tame.

I used to ride in Orlando, just have to make sure you have a place to hide and cover during those awesome summer flash storms. I miss those, we get lightning storms here in the pacific north west maybe twice a year. Even then we get like four or five good flashes in the whole storm.

Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can get the dyno jet kit. I've heard of that, hopefully I can find it locally. I'll defenitly make sure to check the valves, I already checked out the tutorial, but I don't have the tool or shims, if its off. I there a link to the shim club, I read about in an other thread? Got to get to work, oh yea, its going to be around 80 degrees and clear today, not that I'd rub it in.

        Hi,

Look in the "GS Parts and Services" section for the Shim Club information.

        Thank you for your indulgence,

Oh man, I got the airbox from the guy I got my frame from to try and see if it would solve my problem. Well lesson learned, ask someone before you do something with these bikes. Even though 850Gs use the same everything as a 1000G, the airboxes are way to small. Anybody want to swap a nice '80-81 850G airbox for a 1000G airbox? Any takers PM me. I tell ya, swapping parts on cars are lot esier.

Its not the box...its the boots. Which you should replace anyway. Just order the correct ones.
