GS1000S Tank On An 81 GS750E

I am in the process of building a GS750S Wes Cooley Replica out of my '81 GS750E.

To that end, I want to find a tank that looks as much as possible like a GS1000S tank. If I have to fill in the badge screw holes, that's fine.

But which year/model tanks will fit my 750E and have the right shape?

The pre 1980 1000 tanks will fit. An E tank will be easier to find than an S and it's the same apart from the badge holes (as long as you don't get the rare early fluted tank).
