    1977 GS750B exhaust?

    Hello,
the way I understand it I can only use a 1977-79 aftermarket exhaust on my 77. Is this correct? I purchased a decent chrome aftermarket header on ebay and I believe it is off of a later model or a GS850 because it doesn't fit quite right.
Anyone who has 1 for sale please PM me.

Where does it not fit quite right?? Header spacing at the exhaust ports, hanger for the muffler?? Hangs too low? Got pics of the offending area?

      Chuck,
how are you? I am the guy from MI that sold you the exhaust last year. I got my GS cafe all together in June and got 4,000 miles on it over the summer.
Back to the exhaust. It seems to be a bit low. I got the spacing to line up, although I had to hog out 1 of the flanges where the bolts go through.
I am trying to find out exactly what year header I can use. Seems that they are easy to find for everything except GS750B.
I will use an old crusty and rusty 1 as I can powder coat or wrap it for my bike. If I can not find 1 I guess I will be forced to build my own, but I still need the collector.

      Thank you

Cant say where the flange clamps are on these, but they are only a few hrs from you.....

A bit of sandblasting and this will be ready for ceramic coated or wraps as it is...

Thanks for the leads Chuck! Do you have any idea if I need a year specific header? The new vance and hines seem to be specific to 77-79 then a different one for 80 on up.
Any idea what is different? Also the new V & H dumps on the right I have seen some others that dump on the left. Have you had any experience running them on the left?
