Choke plungers are stuck on my GS 550 L anybody have any ideas.I saw in another forum where some guys put a few drips of Coke on top,and it worked better than penn.-oil.

I dont know about Coke. I would try Marvels Mystery Oil.. Its been said it was developed for carbs originally. Maybe a syrnge and shoot a bit past the rubber wipers so it can get down in there. Or see if you can remove the wipers all together..they may just fit into a groove around the nut. gently see if they will come off and give you good access that way.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

        Hi,

A 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone makes an excellent penetrating oil.

        Thank you for your indulgence,

+1 on Marvel Mystery Oil, although Cliff's ATF idea is also good. Both will soften rubber and dissolve oil-related grime.
