    carb fuel screens

i decided to dip a set of extra carbs..as i was taking them apart, the needle valve brass guide had a screen on it, now the ones on my bike currently, dont have any.

when i pulled my good ones out could the screen have stuck in there? do i need to take thhem apart an use these screens?

    carbs are off 850's

Considering that they are part of your FUEL FILTER, it is highly advised that you install them.

The first part of your fuel filter is the mesh screen that is mounted to the petcock. The tube that holds it also provides your REServe fuel supply.
