    Carb rebuild

I talked to a bike mechanic today and he said that seprating the carbs for rebuild is unecessary and doing so makes the whole job a real pain. I have read through the rebuild guide BassCilff has and it looks like not doing this could make the job even more difficult and possibly imcomplete. Anyone ever do the 4 as 1 method as he suggested? I have VM's.

    Thanks

It's easier apart, just keep track of everything. Also, you need to pop the backing plate off to get at the choke plungers(might be able to finagle it some other way, but I wouldn't recommend it).

I cant see how one could do a proper clean without taking them apart.

Personally I like to do em one at a time. Takes a day per carb. Take one apart, soak. Then next day reassemble that one. Then take the next one apart and put it in the dip. And so on..
