    A conflict of information maybe???

I was checking on the stock jetting for the 78 GS 750E. When i got the bike it had the V&H 4 into 1 exhaust. I have since out on the stock exhaust. It runs pretty good but i had never taken a gander at the jets although I knew I had to at some point. Today I got the luxury of some spare time to pull the crabs and take a look. I went to the sticky looking for the charts and camem up with 2 that have different info. One goes by the engine number and the other chart just has it by years..Take alook and see what I mean...Is it the 100 mains and the 15 pilots..OR..the 97.5 mains and 27.5 pilots??? Stock engine and stock pipes. It currently has the 97.5 / 27.5 combo setup. 5F21 needle... clip in center groove.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

    Chuck,
I would go with the engine number specs.
This is probably one of those 77 registered in 78 type of things. Not having the original exhaust may make the change invalid anyway, so either may work would be my guess...

Andre..its a true 78 750 E. 618th one built according to ozebook.com. Engine number is 14820, so if i went with the engine number specs they are stock setup already and that means that the PO obviously hadnt rejetted with the 4 into 1s on her.

Here she is with the 4 into 1 V&H. All i have done is cleaned it up, carbs and valves done, and repainted her the same color. Then i replced the 4 in to 1 with the stockers..
