    Issues after carb dipping

I dipped the carbs for 24 hours. New orings, the works. Put them together and now I have carbs that are putting gas in the air filter. Started up initially, and then flooded out. Took of the filter and put cloth on for filter replacement, just to see what would happen, and was running well, but eventually the cloth go saturated with gas.

I have not synched the carbs. Thought maybe it would be ok without it. Is this a synching problems?

Plugs are black and wet with gas.

I don't know how to synch bench synch the BS carbs, and I don't know how to synch the carbs with the synch tool, although a buddy is loaning me one, so I guess I'll learn.

Either a float is sticking, you set the float height too low (high fuel), or your petcock has failed and fuel is traveling down the vacuum line and into the carbs. Carb sync can't cause that problem

Is there a spring that compresses the float needle. If so... I don't have any, and there weren't any when I got the bike.

        Sorry, not following you.

Did you follow the carb rebuild tutorial linked in my signature? Within you will see how to measure fuel height in the floatbowls, not just measure float height.

I put the Fuel inlet needle valve in upside down on all 4 carbs (Brilliant!). I've never been so happy to make a stupid mistake. Thanks a million. The float height suggestion and looking back over the tutorial, did the trick. Bike started right up and ran find. My carburetor odyssey is over for now.

Great to hear a happy ending, and that it was easy to come by.
