And because you guys love pictures. There she is tucked behind everything else in my tiny workspace. On the left 07 Vulcan 900 (Current daily driver) and on the right an 87 VFR 700 Interceptor. Weekend toy.

Mate that fuel tap looks buggered. That disc was in about four different pieces when I pulled mine apart but the diaphragm was intact. Still didn't work though...
You can buy them new from Boulevard Suzuki for less than $80 which is good value I reckon... at least that's what I did anyway.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

I pulled the petcock....fuel in the vacc. line. When I pulled it apart this is what I found. The aluminum disk thing is torn up...and the diaphragm has a VEEEERY small tear right on the edge in the middle....can i seal it up with something?..
Second, since you have changed your float level setting due using the wrong length needle, you need to verify that the fuel level in the bowls are the same. This is critical to correct carb operation but is fairly easy to do, all things considered.
AFA your pics, I really like the Honda Interceptors. Nice looking bikes IMHO.

Pete et al,
Dynajet makes stage 3 kits for '83 GS450's but not for my '81. Are they different carbs or whats the deal?
Thanks,
Niels

There's a UK E3305 stage 3 kit but apparently it's not suitable for the US... it's also not cheap.
Personally I'm going to keep trying to dial the carbs in with the stock needles and genuine Mikuni jets when I get some time to get back into it.

Pete,
Thanks. Probably some environmental issues in play. I think you are right; Keep playing with it till you get it right. By the way, did you get my pics?
