I adjusted my valves this last weekend. I swear I noticed a difference in how the engine cranked both in the way it felt and sounded. It felt tighter. I can't explain the sound. Is that the case? Or am I imagining things?

If the valves were very far off, it will run noticeably smoother.
Did you synch the carbs afterwards?
This will make it smoother yet.

My bike isn't running just yet, so this is based off of hand cranking it. I will be syncing the csrbs though.

theres probably better compression now that the valves are seating properly... that could explain the tighter feel.
