    550m carb picture

Anyone got a decent pic of how the choke and throttle cables are setup/routed at the carb end of things ?

Having lots of trouble getting at the carb adjusting screw and nut in the middle of the bank of 4 carbs. Kinda think i may have these things in the wrong place. Everyone is telling me they can get on to it with no problem.

This is the tool I am using to adjust it with.

    Thanks

    Pete

I suggest moving the throttle cable holder out of the way. That is the bracket held by the two allen screws on top of the carb.

Hi - Its looking like that is the way to go isnt it.

I thought maybe i had set the throttle and choke up wrong, but just had a look and they cant really go anywhere else

      Will have another look later.

      Thanks for the reply.

        Spot on mate

Took it off and I can finally get my carb adjusting tool on it May have to do something with the choke as well, because at the moment it has to be on, so that the choke mechanism is pulled up and away from the adjuster nut. May have another look tomoz to see if i can leave it.

        Thanks for the advice.

You can always activate the choke by moving the rod directly without all that linkage crap in the way.

Yeah. I might just do that. Thanks. The bike didnt come with a choke cable when i bought it, and I used to just pull the linkage like you said. Should have left it alone eh
