popping in the exhaust-carbs?

    Pods are an absolutely terrible idea if you don't know how to work on carbs. You WILL have to rejet for pods, and if you don't know how to do that, I'd suggest not attempting it until you have a better understanding.
    As to the 850 carbs, the only model year 850 that would have carbs that will fit your bike was the 79 GS850. There again, the jetting will be slightly different, so that may not be a good idea either. I'd find some correct, stock carbs if I were you. And no, I don't have any I'm willing to part with.

      VM 26 850 carb bodies are the same, You'll have to get the appropriate jets needles etc. Basscliff had posted a chart for the GS series. I don't remember where I put it at the moment.

        I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
