Cold pipes #1 and #4
Last week, carbs cleaned, valves adjusted, manfold o-rings replaced along with boots. New plugs. Now #1 and #4 cyl not firing. Pipes are cold after a minute idling. Plug wires seem to be ok.

Plugs #1 & #4 are both fired by the same coil. You need to see if it is firing, sounds like it is not. Start at the plugs, pull one and see if it is getting spark. If not, check that coil to see if it is getting 12V on the orange/white wire. If it is go back to the igniter, then back to the signal generator. BassCliff has these procedures on his web page.

Problem solved!
You guys were right on the money. The plastic molex connector for the orange/white wires wasn't making full contact, so #1 and #4 plugs werent firing. Now it runs like a dream, except the idle is way too high - because it was only running on two jugs when the shop set it.
You have to wonder what the mechanic was thinking when he finished the job. Clearly, he didnt road test the bike or notice that it was bogging.
Thanks for the help!
