    VM Carbs. Missing parts???

I just noticed my carbs dont have the two plastic washers or spring on the needles on the slides... is this OK?? I jave another bank of carbs I'm going to disassemble and see if they have them.

Well... now i look at it and my lever-choke vm carbs dont have a space for the spring in the base of the cylinder... so I think I'm ok... however the needles I have are different sizes too. they have a blunter tip and arent as tapered as the ones with the plastic spacers/slrings/and lever choke.

Looks like theyre just two different configurations.

The needles that you are describing will richen the mixture in the 1/2 - WOT position. This my be desired, depending on what you are running for exhaust and air intake. It WILL make the bike a little more difficult to tune, however.

Go here and check the numbers if youve got the stock configuration for the exhaust....

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
