    Plug chops

Reading thru the threads here on plug chops, they all say pretty much the same thing. Depending where your problem is, throttle position, is where you shut her down and take a reading. Question tho... Can't this be done stationary? Or is there a reason to do it while riding? Not looking for a short cut, just asking.

needs to be done with the engine running under load, not just free revving on the stand in neutral

by this logic, couldn't you do it using the rear brake as your load? maybe not the best way to do it, but if riding is not an option...?

not an option if you have no centre stand and want to burn out your rear brake! it wont give you a true reading

If you do attempt it, be sure to video it in case of mishaps, You've been framed could do with a few more bike clips.

If you need more load than you have distance, try to find an uphill run for the chop. The grade will increase the load and shorten the needed distance and speed.

You can do it in the comfort (and smog...) of your garage. Pull 1, 2 or 3 plug leads to suit, apply rear brake and away you go. You won't of course get a reading on the plugs where you have pulled the leads.

And of course, if you pull 2 leads and your bike is a twin.......
