    What "wire in the seat"?

    One of your previous owners must have done something REALLY creative, as there is normally no wire in the seat.

    The pictures don't look all that good, but nothing that's not repairable.

    As far as having "nothing", check your fuses. The MAIN fuse will power the ignition key, which will then turn on the other three fuses.
