gs1000l 4-1 question
I have a 1980 gs1000L all of the 4-1 exhaust I find say they fit a 79 but not a 80. Why wont they fituj and are there any 4-1 that will fit my gs?Tags: None

i have a 79 1000e and a 80 1000 G and i switched the exhaust , i just put exhaust from a 821100E on my 79 gs1000E so you might have to do some work on the hinger buy that should not be to bad,

Shaft drive or chain?
If you have a shaft-driven 1000GL, the dimensions for the pipe are different than they are for the earlier 1000 chain-driven models.
The pipes might actually fit into the head and have reasonable routing all the way to the back, but you might have to fabricate a hanger bracket at the rear.
