    Putting a GS1000 79 gas tank to a GS1000 78

    Salutations!

I bought my bike with a 198X tank and does not fit the bike well (the tank is being held by the seat). I found a 1979 GS1000 gas tank and I was wondering if I can put it into this bike, I appreciate all your help in this matter, Juan

Good point. L and G tanks are specific to respective models.
