650E Exhaust help
I partially removed the exhaust from the engine to remove my back tire. Now the header won't go all the way back in. The collars are super tight as well and won't screw in all the way. Is there a trick to getting the header seated all the way? Thanks as always for any help.Tags: None

The ratchet strap did not work...
But I think if I get tighten the collars, I will be okay. PROBLEM is the threads on the block are stripped, so I need to get them tapped.
Is it okay to ride about 5 minutes to a local mechanic and see if I can get the threads tapped? I know the bike will run lean with the header almost out of the head...

How did the threads get stripped already? I posted in your other thread about the possibility of someone lending a hand. Why not take up the offer and get help from someone on here who knows something about these bikes?Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace

Will it kill the engine if I ride with the exhaust leak? I have to ride it sometime to get it fixed as I don't have a truck.

The exhaust flanges are pretty tight on the head.
I rode to some local shops yesterday, but no one would tap the threads on the head...
What are the chances of sucking cold air up in the head and cracking the block??
