    Missing some pieces? ('78 GS750)

Took a look at the air filter on the GS750 I recently bought. Looks like it's missing a gasket and a soft air filter. Just a guess.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

You can make a gasket out of urethane weatherstrip available at the hardware store. Uni sells a foam filter that is cheaper than the Suzuki version too.

      Hi,

What you have there is the air filter "cage". The air filter element fits into it. There should be two screws on the bottom piece to connect it to the top piece and hold the filter element. Both UNI and K&N make air filters for our bikes.

Don't forget to put weatherstripping on the top to make a good seal.

This is the air filter assembly fitted in the airbox with a K&N air filter.

      Thank you for your indulgence,
