best mid and high range ?'s

what single exhaust goes well with the gs for mid and high throttle speeds
i want to be able to get the best power i can possible get without super or turbos!
what exhust gives it the most power
i currently have a REBUILT vance&

Do you need a high-end exhaust for racing purposes?

The horsepower gain from a consumer grade "performance" exhaust is minimal. Most of your performance gain is from the weight savings over the stock exhaust. The V&H street pipe is a popular replacement that is still available for many of our GS bikes. Such as this one for the GS1000:
