Eric,
It's fine to replace them, but not critical as long as they are still in good shape.
And just to be clear, I'm in agreement with you regarding the criticality of replacing the O-rings on the float needle seat on models that use them.Ed

ok, now that i see where those go obviously i have the float needle seats in in or it would just over flow they just look different, they thread in and dont have a oring but just a thine metal washer, and i understand basic maintenance i was just asking because i have never had bad valves. and yes i have gone through rebuilt and dipped my carbs i just didnt get new orings. i have put a good amount of miles on my bike since i have got it running so i will check the shim clearances AGAINLast edited by Guest; 08-11-2012, 02:06 PM.
