    Float Adjustment/Valve needle replacement

Hey all I rebuilt my carbs and finally after a long time and multiple times breaking them apart and putting back together i got the bike started. Started after only a couple turn-overs after 6 months of not working. Good feeling. But 1 and 2 carbs are dumping a lot of fuel. I do not have a micrometer to check the height, or any experience doing this. Should I have a shop adjust them or just purchase the tools?

Also I figure it could be bad valve needles. If that is the case where can i buy replacements?

Bike is 79 GS750 and Carbs are Mikuni VM series.

    thanks!

I'd get a cheap digital caliper and do the job myself. If you need float needles Z1 Enterprises sells them, although they are not cheap...http://www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDet...item=KL18-8956
