    Float Needle spring

    GS1000 1980 BS34(CV) Carb
One of these is broken on my carbs.Anyone have a source for these?
Seems not many CV carbs use these?
What is their function? (the spring)

Sorry if this is a repost..I tried to send it earlier but don't think it made it.

It keeps the float needle in place while messing with the carbs and will not let it fall out. I'll look around for you and see if I have a spare for you.

I have a few of them lying around because I usually remove them when I see them.

As gustov mentioned, it is only there to keep the needle from falling out.
The float does a pretty good job of that, too.
