    Carb help, 81' 250t

I notice when i pull the plugs, one cylinder is carboned up and rich, the other cylinder is lean, no carbon what so ever. My 81' 32mm Mikuni carbs. Would this be a needle jet problem? If so, how would i go about adjusting it? Carbs have been thoroughly cleaned, but ive never touched the needle jets. As far as performance, i am running K&N filters, but completely stock exhaust. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

You might have a petcock problem- which carb/cylinder has the petcock vacuum line attached to it? the richer one?

.... or just dirty carbs- unfortunately, the carbs need to be completely disassembled to do the job properly and that means you have to touch the needle jets.

    have you see this link?

      petcock

The vac line is drawing off the right carb, its also the right cyl. thats running
      rich.
The petcock would flood the left carb. so i wound up putting an on-off valve
      between the petcock and carbs
I did open the petcock and nothing seems to be wrong with it.
I will check out the rest of the carbs asap

Did you rejet the carbs when switching to the pod air filters? If not, you should as the jetting is drastically different now.

It is common for a failing petcock to leak gas back down the vacuum hose into the cylinder. Are there gas droplets/vapor in the vacuum line? If you suck on the vacuum line like a straw do you taste gas?
