Would this be a good fit for my '78 GS750?

So my baffles are rotted out and gone. Pipes still look great. I don't really want to get into the 4-1 and all the carb problems that come with it.
Would this be a good replacement to kkep the bike stock?
Is there anywhere I can buy just the mufflers?

There are tons of places selling just mufflers that will fit your pipes. One that will look more stock than the Mac ones you listed. I've 'heard' that Mac uses thin metal but don't have any personal experience. I put a pair of Dunstal mufflers on my 79 850, that later were put on a 79 750. They were bought from JC whitney. They came with adapter plates to fit a multitude of pipe sizes, I had a local welder weld them on under the heat shields. The sounds was a bit louder than stock but the baffles were removable so the sound could be louder/quieter depending on what you wrapped the baffle with.

Dime city has a fair bit of muffler stock on their site

I have read this as well. Look on eBay for take-offs, from the idiots that think loud pipes save lives.

Don't ge the mufflers from a touring model, like the Road King or Electra Glide. Those mufflers are huge. I believe Sportsters and Dynas use the same type of muffler, so they should look right.
