    pilot screw size

I lost one of the pilot jets from the carbs I was working on.

I had another set of carbs but the pilot jets seem to be a different size. One seems to be marked 40 and the other 42.5 .

    What difference does this make?

That would be the difference of a well-running bike or a simple matter of tearing your hair out, trying to figure out what's wrong.
