No doubt. I think one could probably make do with a set of transfer punches.

A paper hole punch is the right size for the screw holes.

BTW, start to finish it takes about 5 min. to make a gasket like these. Cut out the outside shape with sissors or x-acto, inshape with X-acto. Hole punch for holes. Many times the store bought gaskets have extra holes you don't need. No need to cut these out if your carbs have no use for the extra cutouts.

I recently bought bowl and top gaskets for $16 from
          here :

they worked, but the bowl gaskets are actually a little big... the material tries to "bunch up" as you stuff it under the lip around the carb body.
Very dissapointed. But they did work.
          1980 GS1000G - The Beast - GOING... GOING... yup, it's gone. I'm bikeless !!! GAaaahh !!!
          1978 KZ1000C1 Police - GONE !
1983 GPZ750, aka ZX750A1 - restored, fresh paint... Gave it back, it was a loaner !!!

Wow, such an intriguing idea..I like it saves good money and time! I need to clean the carbs on mine. I see advanceauto has like 4 different types from felpro?? Is there one better than another for the material?

Can't remember the gasket material type I used, but look for something the same thickness and gasoline safe.

                  Sirius con

I know the thread is old but it's the only search entry so far for "Sirius con".
-1 for Sirius con (so far) I ordered a valve cover gasket for my GS750, they sent me a GS1100 gasket.
It's okay they certainly will replace the part, but it takes two weeks in shipping... That's a month delay error and riding with a knocking valve...

Note: Refer to my last post "+2 for Sirius con" later in this thread... You know what it is: Happy customers tell 1 people, unhappy customers tell 10.

Put your model and year in your signature and it will make it easier for people to lead you to your year specific parts. Z1 Enterprises is great for a lot of your parts. http://www.z1enterprises.com/Home.aspx

A GS750 what and a GS1100 what? If they happen to be 80-81 GS 750E/1100E the valve cover gaskets should have interchange.

Hmmm...My experience is that I have ordered many gaskets from them over several years and never once got a wrong part. So you got the lucky 1 in 100.000 transactions..it happens. Now IF they had regualrly and consistently messed up mine or other members orders, I would probably agree with you.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.
