It doesn't really matter as long as they are all the same. I put them in however it makes them all close the tightest when the choke is off.

I think that one is upside down but like I said, as long as they are all the same...

Down is off, on is up, should all be the same way.

Yes, they are now all the same way.
The ??? is... is the pic correct or do I have the lifter upside down ?
it "works" either way... but seems like the way in the pic makes more sense.
If it truly doesn't matter, I will leave them as pictured.

I think it's upside down but without looking I'm not 100% sure. If those carbs have a cable operated choke then the lifter associated with the cable will show you which way up the things go.

I was hoping that was true, but again, it seems to work either way !

What are they off? I can't think of a cable lifting choke mechanism that will fit both ways up.

The rod should extend thru the lifter, not just one side.

The tabs are on both sides, the pic just looks funny.

Checked on my bikes today - upside down. Plus the yellow paint on all of mine, if it's still there, is on the top.

My 1ks are cable operated and the lifter where the cable fits can only go one way up - just pulled the set on one bike to check.

since the rack is -still- not installed, I will try to flip them and see if it makes more sense.
                        Thanks again, all !

Confirmed. The larger lobe should face down.

Confirmed again... The lifter with the cable on it will only fit one way, I guess I should have looked at that a little closer.
