Pilot Fuel Screw -- ok or replace?

Here is a picture of my #3 and #4 Pilot Fuel Screws. #3 on the left is sharp as a pin ...just like #1 and #2.

Does #4 look too worn? If so, does Z1 have them?

How is the passage in No. 4? Clear?

If you decide to replace the fuel screw, Z1 has some pretty awesome fuel screws that I like better than OEM.

Z1 Enterprises specializes in quality Motorcycle parts for Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha Classic Japanese motorcycles from the 1970's and 1980's.

These screws have longer, knurled tops that make it much easier to adjust them when the carbs are installed on the bike.

For $22, 4 of these make a nice upgrade IMHO.

Tip broken off. Probably stuck in the hole. Have fun.

Thanks for the info. I ordered 4 new ones ($29 with shipping). I will now cross my fingers and double check the passagway. Much appreciated.

One of the two look fine. I'd save it, and any others, that look as good.

OOPS, too late I already ordered 4 so they will match. I guess I will have 3 good ones for an emergency or for someone here that needs one in the future.

I held each carb up to the light and saw that all 4 have a pinhole of light in the pilot fuel passage. I hope that means there is no remaining shrapnel in there.

Sounds like you got lucky, but to be sure shoot some spray carb cleaner through it and make sure the spray comes out the other side in the same pattern as the other three carbs.

Ok thank you, will do! I soaked them all for 24 each and sprayed carb cleaner through everything... but didnt think about checking the spray pattern.
