    Finding a OEM/NOS or aftermarket 4 into 2 Exhaust

Still trying to find that elusive 4 into 2 exhaust to fit my UK 1977 GS550DB/C.
Don't suppose anyone has any thoughts or links i could follow? Not heard of, but is there a 4 into 2 aftermarket system available? Failing that, anybody have a particular favourite on the 4 into 1 systems available. Thanks.

    Hi Mr. GSJon,

Good exhausts in the used marketplace are pretty scarce. Be patient.

From the "mega-welcome" collection of links:

Ebay US always has a few sets of decent original pipes on there but p&p ain't cheap. They only come up very rarely on ebay.uk / .de. If you search on .de don't forget the Germans had a 500cc version of the 550 - exactly the same bike, just a few cc less.

I think Sito still do the silencers but you'll have to get hold of the down pipes from somewhere else. Similarly Marving make the silencers.

For 4-1s the choice over here has got a bit more limited. My favourite is the Marving Race - it's a bit loud but it looks 'correct'. Motad are still turning them out but I think they look a bit heavy and clunky on a 550 - but they are quieter and there is also the EC homologated Marving. Harris stopped making them though Norman Hyde has bought the tooling - they're knocking them out for the bigger bikes so it might be worth a phone call to see if they're planning any for the 550.
