GS550 Exhaust vs jetting

I have a '77 GS550 which is all stock, including the mufflers. I would love for the bike to be a little bit louder, or throatier, but the only change I know about is to put on one of the several (?) 4-1 header systems, like Kerker's. The trouble is, I really don't want to get into resetting all the carbs--so the question is, is there a louder exhaust system out there that I can just put on and expect the bike to run at least the same, without having to re-jet?

The short answer is no, probably not. Any change you make to the system typically requires that you change the jetting to match. Louder often means more airflow, which means you need more fuel as well.
