gsxr throttle tube

im converting my bike over to the gsxr controls (06-07)...will the throttle tube work and everything?

i ask this cause my throttle tube just broke this morning...old cold brittle plastic

my bike is a 81 850

edit i found one off a 99 gixxer 750, with cables..if it will work ill get it

since no one seems to know, it will work, but not without modding it

The one I always use is the Yamaha R1 throttle tube which I find a lot easier on the hand (lot less fatiguing as you don't have to turn as far) as it is a quicker return than stock. In other words it goes from idle to full throttle in about half the twist of a stocker. I've put them on my 750, the 750 Kat and now the 550. I think they are about $20 or less at the store.

I haven't used a gixxer tube but i would suspect it would work about the same.

im guessing the r1 tube will fit in the gixxer housing
