    mines a 1981 gsx400F as far as I know..i think it might be the american katana version its engine number is GS40XF???
    I spoke to cycle orings and they dont make them for this carb because apparently suzuki made their own bits for it in house, mikuni know nothing about it!
    now my next problem is finding new crank pickups..
    thanks for the help guys this site is the best !

      according to this ad Steve, he is indeed correct. they did come with BS26 carbs.

      1978 GS1085.

          I did not realize that the GSX400 was a FOUR-cylinder bike.

            From what I can tell they went to four cylinder 16 valve in 1981

              Hi Guzzi boy
              Mate have you looked at www.cmsnl.com as they have got a lot of bits for our make of bike gsx 400 f . All the prices are in euro , a bit of a hard hit for the bank account , but if you need it you have no option.

                Yeah I've just about exhausted the Internet for all I can find!
                I've found suziparts in Adelaide a massive help . They are
                matching up some o rings for me .. The fishe is
                showing lots of differences to my actual bike, I
                have a feeling mine might be the German or USA
                Version of the 400F
