Not only are the needles adjustable, their taper is exactly tuned for each engine. The stock GS needles are almost impossible to tune when you have pods and a pipe.
You will not be able to find a used set because some of the parts are permanently installed.
There is another brand out there attempting to steal a part of DynoJet's thunder for around $100, but I do not recall their name.
If you can't afford the $125 you should strongly consider returning to stock. You have to pay to play, unfortunately.

You talking about Six Sigma Racing?

They have several products available, but trying to get hold of them is not easy.
I am working on a set of carbs for another member and had some questions, so I called the phone number on their website.
Got a message that it was no longer in service. Sent them an e-mail. No response after a week.

That sounds like the one, Steve. Not good news, though. Keep us posted, as I recall more than one GSR member either purchasing their kits or showing interest in them.

The carbs I am working on are from an 850. The main jets were changed from the Six Sigma jets because of other concerns, and are not quite correct, they are the small-diameter jets, not the usual large ones.

The needles are adjustable, they have SIX grooves for the clip. However, I measured the diameter of the needle at several points and compared them to the stock Mikuni needle. They are virtually the same.
I am wondering if these needles are really just the Canandian or European needles that we did not get in the US?

I have another set of needles from a DynoJet kit (for another model) and the taper on them is a LOT different. I have not put the calipers to them, yet, but will in the very near future.

I did return her to stock koolaid, I couldn't get her to run decent with pods. Now she runs perfect, but I have 4 pods sitting on my workbench. Anybody need 4 excellent pods with clamps? $20 shipped.

If those are K&N pods, that's a WONDERFUL deal.

If they are not K&N, well, ...

$20 for K&N pods? Not likely. They aren't K&N, but in excellent condition.

                    Go back to post #6

Follow the link to BassCliff's page and look for Uploading photos to the GSR

The photos need to be hosted on line, many of us use Photobucket. Then copy and paste them into your posting here.

Uh oh, doesn't look like he took the idle mixture screws out...kind of wonder how he did clean them and what he used for orings etc. The crabs do look nice and clean.

It looks a though you did not follow the carb cleaning tutorial

You need to remove the idle mixture screws, clean the passage and replace the O ring on the mixture screws

You need to remove the caps over the screws

Hello. sorry, did not put it in my previous post, if you clean all ducts, screw the needle is spring too, I'll make more pictures of the screws and put them in the forum, there will probably already written about this topic, but I work with google translator, and I find it very difficult issue by issue. I varied the pace of suppliers that have changed the exhaust and air filters, I put a four on one, and individual filters, problems with the filter housing, was in very poor condition.
I lost Ahoira gasoline by gas passage tubes between each carburetor, this morning will watch to see what happens, greetings. jzape2005
