    fuel, gas cap

Hi, just got a gs 650 katana for restoration , it came with no key so i sent the barrell away & got one cut, unfortunatly it dosent fit the petrol cap, do all the gs caps fit or does it have to be the correct model ? mine looks round in shape but when i look at replacement ones there not quite the same shape?, also i just bought a 550 exhaust, hope it fits, any advice?
    cheers russ.

Is there a 3digit number stamped on the face of the keyhole? If so that the key code for that lock. year, model and that number and a locksmith can cut a key.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Nope, the ignition, seat and gas cap come as a matched set for the key, so one key will open all three

You can take the gas cap to a locksmith and have the tumblers changed to match your key

It is entirely possible one of them got changed thru the years. If the format of the key is the same, one lock can be redone as Big T stated. Otherwise, just have a second key made for the second lock. And you are getting spares as well, correct?
