Holy S**t! oil and gas leaking out of clutch push rod seal

Long story short: Had not ridden since November. Forgot to close petcock. Start bike up today only to see mixture of oil and gas dripping out of clutch push rod seal. (aside from that bike idled great!)

    questions:

    1) am I necessarily screwed?
    2) local shop said drain all the oil. replace oil filter and all might be o.k.

Anything else I should do or look out for?

    Thanks,

just follow option 2, and you should be fine.....

and what do you mean close petcock, you have an off position ? or did you leave it on prime and or on, and if it leaked look at fixing the petcock....

Thanks for the reassurance. I replaced the Suzuki vacuum operated petcock with a Pringle, manual petcock. I left it in the open position for several months.
