Header holes/ what can be done?

Question, The headers I'm using on my G have developed holes at the underside of two down tubes. This is temporary exhaust for this bike, bv I do want to use it as long as I can for exhaust on projects. I'm looking for option for temporary and long term fixes. Options I can think of, but have never tried are exhaust tape(the silver stuff you can wrap around car ex.), heat wrap commonly user on drag car headers and popular with cafe and bobber bikes, J-BWeld. Has anyone tried any of these with positive results? I'll post a photo of the holes later.

The only solution is to weld a patch over the hole

To temporarily repair an exhaust leak on a diesel tractor, I used a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil, folded several times to form a square, then held in place with a stainless pipe clamp. Worked great and is still in place some years later.

That will be the plan eventually, but I fear since the tubing is thin (the reason for the holes in the first place) more holes will be the result, atleast it will if I try to do it. lol I need a temporary bandaid for the short term. This is my, backup/work in progress bike, thrust into duty unexpectantly.

Small holes? For a temporary bodge try a hose clip.

If the holes are really small I wouldn't worry too much about it, you need a place for water to escape .

Somekind of tape wrap should work along with a little epoxy, Jb weld etc,
how about that aluminum "real" duct tape?

Hey Steve, I picked up some exhaust tape. It's a foil with an adhesive backing. Well I'll see how well it holds up. It worked in the garage, but I haven't tested it out going on a ride.
Here are the holes in question, I found a few more after covering these.

Here is the product I'm trying. $3.99 at AutoZone.

It's worked so far, but my ride to work is very short.
