GS 550 exhaust question.

i have a 1979 gs550L and would like to know if these would slip over the stock pipe so i can get rid of the ugle megaphones?

I'm thinking they are a wee bit TOO large, but i might be wrong. you could use a wrap of sheet metal to take up the space. then you'll need to slit the end so a clamp will tighten it down. they are designed to use either end for in or out and they have 2 different sized ends, so they are not slit from the factory.

they will be very loud too..

I havethe exact same things on a bike and will be taking them back off, and getting used/take off HARLeY Sportster mufflers that can be found on craigslist by the dozens for cheeplol..
