MAC EXHAUST. Fitment question 1980 Suzuki GS750L
Why wouldn't a MAC exhaust that fits an 1981 GS750 not fit an 1980? I was under the assumption they where the same bike...Tags: None

The issue is the "L".
Which model of 750 do you want to fit the exhaust on, and which model of 750 did it come from?

I have a 4 into 2 exhaust that I assume is a MAC. It doesn't quite fit my '81 GS750L, however, I did have it on there with a bit of "engineering".
It worked fine, except it was in the way of the sidestand, so, I had to use the centerstand all the time. I have since located and installed an original exhaust.
As KKid said, there are frame differences between "E" and "L" models that affect (effect ??) the fitment of the exhaust.Larry D

Because it is a Mac exhaust they don't fit anything properly. They are all crap IMO. I have tried to install them on a few different bikes and fought with every one of them. I refuse to use their products.1984 GS1100GK newest addition to the heard

Thanks guys. It's just an option. I have a buddy with 82 xj650 and he got an exhaust from Mac and has had nothing but problems
